If you’re looking for a charming, festive spot for engagement photos in Atlanta, Virginia Highlands is hard to beat. This neighborhood has everything: cozy brick streets, twinkling lights during the holidays, and those little corners that make every photo feel warm and personal. It’s the perfect mix of classic Atlanta charm and intimate vibes for couples wanting something playful, romantic, and totally you.
With the holidays right around the corner, I can’t help but think back to this time last year when I met up with Peyton and Collin in downtown Virginia Highlands for their engagement session. The lights were twinkling, the air had that perfect December chill, and these two brought all the cozy, in-love energy. Now they’re just a few short weeks away from saying “I do,” and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with them!
Peyton and Collin are one of those couples who just click. They actually met on Hinge. Collin slid into Peyton’s DMs, and from there, things just felt easy. Their first date lasted the entire day (always a good sign!), and they both say it was the best first date they’ve ever had. Fast forward a few years later, and it’s clear that same spark is still going strong.
They describe their relationship as being best friends first. And you can totally tell when you’re around them. When I asked what they love most about each other, Peyton said she loves Collin’s big belly laugh and the way he’s always trying to make her the happiest girl. Collin said he loves how much Peyton cares for him and how she never fails to make him laugh. Basically, they’re the kind of couple who just radiate joy.
During our session, we wandered through Virginia Highlands, one of Atlanta’s coziest neighborhoods, stopping by cute corners and decorated storefronts, soaking in that holiday charm. The string lights, the classic brick buildings, and the festive energy made it feel straight out of a Christmas movie. I loved that it felt casual and personal, like a little peek into their real life together.
They’ve been busy planning their wedding (in true Peyton fashion—organized and thoughtful about every detail!), and it’s almost here! They’re getting married in front of a beautiful tree, a nod to Peyton’s dream of an outdoor ceremony and Collin’s college days in Athens. I can already tell it’s going to be one of those days that feels effortless, fun, and full of meaning. Just like the two of them.
