If you’ve ever been to the Swan House in Atlanta, you know it’s one of the most breathtaking spots in the city and it’s just as magical in person as it looks in photos. I met up with Victoria and Ross here for their engagement session, and let me tell you… I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during a shoot! These two are seriously the coolest, most fun couple ever. Victoria is a talented hair stylist, and Ross works in commercial real estate. Their wedding is planned for November 2025 and is going to be funky, vibrant, and centered around their favorite people. I absolutely cannot wait to photograph it.

The Swan House is one of Atlanta’s most iconic estates. Built in 1928 for the Inman family, it’s part of the Atlanta History Center and is known for its grand staircase, elegant columns, and the famous cascading fountain in the back. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped straight into a European fairytale: romantic, historic, and full of character. It’s no wonder it’s been featured in movies like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (yep, President Snow’s mansion!) and countless editorials and weddings.
For engagement sessions, the Swan House offers so many unique backdrops—from the dramatic front facade to the garden pathways and stone staircases tucked around the property. Every angle is stunning, especially during golden hour when the light hits the mansion just right. It’s one of those places where you can’t take a bad photo.

If you’re considering a Swan House wedding, you’re in for a treat. Couples can say “I do” in front of the mansion’s grand staircase or host an elegant garden reception surrounded by lush greenery and timeless architecture. It’s truly one of Atlanta’s dreamiest venues for couples who want a luxurious, historical setting that still feels romantic and intimate.

I’m so thankful Victoria and Ross chose this location for their session. It fit their style perfectly: fun, elevated, and a little bit unexpected. We spent the afternoon exploring the gardens, laughing nonstop, and soaking in all that gorgeous Atlanta sunshine.
If you’re dreaming of your own Swan House engagement session or planning a Swan House wedding, I’d love to help you capture it! There’s something about this place that makes every photo feel like a piece of art and I can’t wait to be back again soon.
